Buyer's Guide

Choosing the Right Construction & Decoration Method

The method you choose affects cost, minimum quantity, durability and lead time. Here is how our development team typically advises buyers.

MethodBest ForKey AdvantagesThings to Consider
Full-dye sublimationSoccer, cricket, rugby & esports jerseys, cycling kitsUnlimited colours, all-over graphics, no cracking or peeling, lightweight hand-feelWorks on polyester-rich fabric; light base colours give the brightest results
Cut & sew (solid fabric)Leggings, sports bras, tracksuits, premium brand linesPremium look, colour-blocked panels, wide fabric choice including nylon/spandexCustom-dyed fabric typically needs higher quantities per colour
Screen printingLogo tees, hoodies, training topsCost-effective for repeat designs, vivid spot colours, specialty inksEach colour needs a screen; better suited to larger runs of one design
Embroidery & patchesCrests on tracksuits, polos, caps, fleecePremium, durable, textured finish that signals qualityFine detail is limited by stitch size; adds weight on light fabrics
Heat transfer / silicone / DTFNames & numbers, small logos, performance brandingSharp details, low quantity friendly, stretch-compatible optionsRequires correct temperature control to avoid shine marks on fabric

Guidance is general; final recommendations depend on your fabric, artwork and quantity. Our team confirms the best method during the specification stage.

FAQs

Questions Buyers Ask Before Ordering

Straight answers to the most common sourcing questions from importers, clubs and private label brands.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom sportswear?
MOQ depends on construction and decoration. Fully sublimated teamwear can usually be produced in smaller runs per design because no screens or dyed-to-order fabric are required, while cut and sew styles using custom-dyed fabric or custom trims need higher quantities per colour. Share your style, fabric and quantity and we will confirm the MOQ for your exact product.
How long does sampling and bulk production take?
Sampling typically takes 7–14 working days after the tech pack, artwork and fabric are confirmed. Bulk production usually takes 3–6 weeks depending on quantity, fabric availability and decoration, followed by sea or air freight to your destination.
Can you produce private label activewear with my own labels and packaging?
Yes. We produce private label garments with your woven or printed neck labels, care labels, hang tags, polybags and carton markings, so goods arrive retail-ready under your brand.
Do I need a tech pack to start a custom order?
A complete tech pack speeds up sampling and pricing, but it is not mandatory. Through our ODM service we can develop a product from reference images, a sample garment or a sketch, and build the measurement chart and specification sheet with you.
Why manufacture sportswear in Sialkot, Pakistan?
Sialkot is one of the world's best-known sports goods clusters, with decades of experience supplying international teams and brands. The local supply chain for fabrics, sublimation printing, embroidery and trims enables competitive pricing, flexible order sizes and fast development.
